Who we are

Lead Pastor — pastor andrew seale

Pastor Andrew and Debbie Seale have led The Ark Christian Church since 2017 with a passion to see people encounter God and live out their faith in everyday life.

Originally from Chester, England, they moved to Spain and joined The Ark, later stepping into leadership to continue building on the church’s legacy since its founding in 1994. Their ministry is marked by genuine care for people, practical teaching of God’s Word, and a strong emphasis on the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Together, they lead with warmth, humility, and vision — cultivating a church where people feel at home, where lives are transformed, faith is strengthened, and Jesus is at the center of it all.

A Journey of Faith, Community, and God’s Faithfulness

Where We Began
The Ark Christian Church was birthed in 1994 through a clear call from God to build a place of refuge, family, and faith on the Costa del Sol. What began as a small group meeting in a hotel in Mijas soon grew into a fellowship hungry to see God’s presence touch lives. After a season meeting between Mijas and Fuengirola, God spoke clearly — The Ark belongs in the heart of the city.

He gave a vision of a community centre in Fuengirola — a place that would reach people through love in action: a coffee shop and drop-in centre, a thrift shop, and practical outreaches to those in need. Through prayer and trust, God miraculously opened the doors to a property right in the centre of town — perfectly aligned with the vision He had given. The Ark set sail on its journey of faith, becoming a visible expression of God’s love in the community.

Where We Are Now
A lot has changed over the past few years — in fact, things have changed dramatically! The biggest impact has been the amazing growth we’ve seen. The Lord has tripled our numbers, which has meant reorganising our church layout, starting more discipleship and home groups, and hosting more events — especially for families. Our youth ministry has also expanded and is now split into three age groups.

We’ve seen a big rise in camps too — with separate gatherings for ladies, men, youth, and the whole church family. Our deliverance ministry has grown rapidly, with bookings increasing so much that they even held a conference in the UK recently! Baptisms have multiplied (nearly 40 last year alone), and salvations continue to happen almost every week.

The Ark School has also flourished, now serving nearly 250 families and employing over 30 teachers. But what hasn’t changed is the incredible, supernatural love that fills The Ark. Despite the growth, the same deep fellowship, care, and intimacy with God — and with one another — remain strong.
