Who we are
Lead Pastor — pastor andrew seale
Pastor Andrew and Debbie Seale have led The Ark Christian Church since 2017 with a passion to see people encounter God and live out their faith in everyday life.
Originally from Chester, England, they moved to Spain and joined The Ark, later stepping into leadership to continue building on the church’s legacy since its founding in 1994. Their ministry is marked by genuine care for people, practical teaching of God’s Word, and a strong emphasis on the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Our Core Values
The Ark Christian Church – A family of faith, growing together in love and purpose.
1. Health – Walk in His rhythm
We value wholeness in every part of life — spiritual, emotional, and physical. We rest in God’s presence, protect our time with family, and live with balance and grace.
2. Intentionality – Purpose over pace
We choose to live on purpose, not just by routine. Every moment and every relationship is an opportunity to reflect God’s love and make a difference.
3. Communication – Speak life
We communicate with honesty, clarity, and kindness. True communication builds understanding, unity, and trust — it always lifts, never tears down.
4. Forgiveness – Freedom through grace
We forgive quickly and freely, not because it’s easy, but because it keeps our hearts open to God’s peace. Forgiveness releases us and heals relationships.
5. Trust – Truth builds bridges
We lean into honesty, even when it’s uncomfortable. Trust grows when truth is spoken in love and grace leads our conversations.
6. Authenticity – Real people, real faith
We don’t wear masks. We grow through genuine relationships where honesty, humility, and vulnerability make space for real transformation.
7. Honour – See people through God’s eyes
We honour everyone — leaders, teammates, and those we serve — because every person carries the image of God. We show respect even when it’s not returned.
8. Excellence – Worship through our work
We give our best in everything we do, not for recognition, but as an act of worship to the One who deserves our very best.
9. Generosity – Living open-handed
We live generously with our time, talents, and resources. Giving is our privilege, not our duty, because we know we can never outgive God.
10. Empowerment – Equipping every believer
We raise and release people to lead, serve, and grow. Empowerment means trusting others, sharing responsibility, and believing in God’s call on every life.
11. Feedback – Sharpened by grace
We welcome honest feedback because it helps us grow stronger. Correction given in love builds character and keeps us teachable.
12. Celebration – Gratitude in every victory
We take time to rejoice — in small wins and major breakthroughs. Celebration reminds us of God’s faithfulness and keeps joy at the centre of our community.
13. Holiness – Set apart for His purpose
We pursue purity and integrity, not out of obligation but devotion. Holiness is about living surrendered — becoming more like Jesus in every area of life.
14. Wisdom & Discernment – Seeing with Heaven’s perspective
We seek God’s wisdom in every decision, trusting the Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts and steps. Discernment helps us recognise what is true, timely, and aligned with His will — leading us to walk not by impulse, but by insight.

Deliverance & Counselling Ministry – The Ark Christian Church
In obedience to God’s direction, The Ark began its deliverance ministry in the spring of 2021. Since then, the Lord has graciously used this ministry to bring freedom and healing to individuals from within our church, from other congregations, and from the wider community seeking help from Jesus.
Deliverance is a confidential, Spirit-led process carried out by experienced ministers who depend wholly on the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Each session is unique, as the Lord ministers personally to each individual’s needs. Our focus is to see people released from bondage, healed in spirit, soul, and body, and restored to walk in wholeness and victory through Christ.
Over the years, we have seen the Holy Spirit break addictions, restore relationships, heal illnesses, and release people from fear, guilt, oppression, and spiritual strongholds. We have also witnessed remarkable physical healings — including testimonies of people rising from wheelchairs — as God’s power brings restoration to every part of life.
We believe true deliverance begins with honesty, humility, and faith in God’s power to set us free.
Practical Details:
Deliverance sessions typically last 3–4 hours and are by appointment only.
There is no charge for ministry.
Online sessions may be available in exceptional cases, though in-person ministry is strongly recommended.
Deliverance for third parties not present is not undertaken.

Statement of Faith and Core Beliefs
The Ark Christian Church
The Bible
We believe that the Bible, as originally given, is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It is the supreme authority for all matters of faith, conduct, and truth. Through Scripture, God reveals His character, His will, and the path of salvation.
The Godhead
We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — coequal and coeternal, perfectly united in purpose and love.
Humanity and Sin
We believe that all people are created in the image of God but have fallen into sin through disobedience, resulting in separation from Him. Every person stands in need of forgiveness and redemption through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the full deity and humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension, and present reign at the right hand of the Father.
Through His sacrifice, all who believe are forgiven, redeemed, and reconciled to God.Salvation
Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through His blood, we are cleansed from sin, restored to relationship with God, and empowered to live a new life by the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who convicts, guides, indwells, and empowers believers for holy living and effective service. The baptism of the Holy Spirit brings transformation, deeper intimacy with God, and empowerment for ministry, building Christlike character and spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church.
The Church
We believe there is one true Church, the Body of Christ, made up of all believers worldwide. We value unity in the Spirit and partnership with other churches that proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. The local church exists to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, disciple believers, and serve the community in love.
Ordinances of the Church
We practice baptism in water by total immersion for those who have repented and professed faith in Christ. We regularly share in the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) as a remembrance of His sacrifice and a celebration of His coming again.
Healing and Deliverance
We believe in divine healing and deliverance through the power of the Holy Spirit. God continues to restore, heal, and set people free — spirit, soul, and body — according to His will and purpose. Our deliverance ministry exists to help people walk in freedom, guided by the Holy Spirit in a confidential and prayerful setting.
The Return of Christ
We believe in the personal and visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ to gather His Church, to judge all people & nations, and to establish His eternal kingdom of righteousness and peace.
The Gifts and Ministries of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the fivefold ministry (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers) remain active and vital for the strengthening and growth of the Church today.
Sanctity of Human Life
We believe that all human life is sacred, created by God in His image, and of immeasurable worth — from conception to natural death. We are called to defend, protect, and value every human life, including the unborn, the aged, and the vulnerable.
Marriage and Sexuality
We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s relationship with His Church. Sexual intimacy is designed by God to be expressed within marriage only. Any sexual activity outside this covenant — including adultery, fornication, homosexual acts, or gender alteration — is contrary to God’s design and will. We affirm that all people are called to holiness and that redemption and restoration are available to everyone through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
All people are to be treated with compassion, love, dignity, and respect, as every person is precious to God.Our Call as the Church
As followers of Jesus, we are called to walk in humility, holiness, and love — protecting the unity of the Church, sharing in its mission, and serving faithfully in the power of the Holy Spirit. We stand firmly on God’s Word as our foundation and guide, trusting His promises and truth in every season. We seek to be a family of believers marked by compassion, integrity, and the transforming presence of God.
our story
A Journey of Faith, Community, and God’s Faithfulness
Where We Began
The Ark Christian Church was birthed in 1994 through a clear call from God to build a place of refuge, family, and faith on the Costa del Sol. What began as a small group meeting in a hotel in Mijas soon grew into a fellowship hungry to see God’s presence touch lives. After a season meeting between Mijas and Fuengirola, God spoke clearly — The Ark belongs in the heart of the city.
He gave a vision of a community centre in Fuengirola — a place that would reach people through love in action: a coffee shop and drop-in centre, a thrift shop, and practical outreaches to those in need. Through prayer and trust, God miraculously opened the doors to a property right in the centre of town — perfectly aligned with the vision He had given. The Ark set sail on its journey of faith, becoming a visible expression of God’s love in the community.
Where We Are Now
A lot has changed over the past few years — in fact, things have changed dramatically! The biggest impact has been the amazing growth we’ve seen. The Lord has tripled our numbers, which has meant reorganising our church layout, starting more discipleship and home groups, and hosting more events — especially for families. Our youth ministry has also expanded and is now split into three age groups.
We’ve seen a big rise in camps too — with separate gatherings for ladies, men, youth, and the whole church family. Our deliverance ministry has grown rapidly, with bookings increasing so much that they even held a conference in the UK recently! Baptisms have multiplied (nearly 40 last year alone), and salvations continue to happen almost every week.
The Ark School has also flourished, now serving nearly 250 families and employing over 30 teachers. But what hasn’t changed is the incredible, supernatural love that fills The Ark. Despite the growth, the same deep fellowship, care, and intimacy with God — and with one another — remain strong.
